Biography
Ph.D. in Economics, University of Chicago, M.A. in Economics, University of Chicago and B.A. in Economics, University of Barcelona Daniel Fernández Kranz holds a Ph.D. in Economics by the University of Chicago and is currently an Associate Professor and the Chair of the Department of Economic Environment at IE Business School. His research focuses in Empirical Microeconomics in the area of Labor Markets. Before joining IE Business School, Daniel was an Economics Professor at Saint Louis University, Madrid, and an economic consultant at Nera (National Economic Research Associates), in the Chicago, Boston and Madrid offices. Daniel has a vast international experience in teaching. He ststes:” I have always taught international groups of students. This diversity in the classroom is both interesting and challenging. Fortunately, almost everything that matters to us in life (from money to our children) is is affected by the laws that rule the economy. Therefore, when the objective is for the lecture to be interesting for different types of audience, my strategy is simple: to teach economy not as an abstract theory but as one of the best tools in order to understand a huge variety of real life topics.”
