Biography
Elisa holds a Double Degree in Law and in Business Administration and Management from Universidad Carlos III, Madrid and an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Law at Centro de Estudios Garrigues, in collaboration with Harvard Law School. She joined GARRIGUES’ Litigation and Arbitration Department on 2010, where she has acted as counsel or as arbitral secretary in both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations, namely, under the ICC, LCIA, CAM and TAS/CAS rules and litigated in multiple venues, such as Madrid, Paris, London, Zürich, Geneva, Lausanne, Bucharest, Istanbul, Casablanca, Lima, Lisbon, Shanghai or Doha, amongst others. Elsewhere, she has also acquired specific experience in construction disputes and in FIDIC contracts, as well as adjudication before DABs and arbitration. Additionally, apart from IE University, she collaborates frequently with other institutions, such as Centro Estudios Garrigues, and universities, such as Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, lecturing on international litigation matters and arbitrates in the Willem C Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Moot Madrid. She has also coached the Vis Moot team from ICADE, Comillas Pontifical University of Madrid. Amongst her publications, Elisa has coauthored the Enciclopedia Jurídica del Arbitraje en Español. Estudio Mario Castillo Freyre Library. Cremades, Anne-Carole; Collantes, Jorge Luis (Dir.) (et al.). Palestra, which will be published on late 2016.
