Biography
After overcoming his doctoral training and research capacity in the ETSAM, he is currently developing his doctoral thesis. He is ETSAM associate professor at the Department of Projects since 2004. He was a visiting professor and a frequent lecturer at universities such as the Bauhaus in Weimar, school of architecture of Seville, European University of Madrid, El Vallés of Barcelona, the Polytechnic of Milan, La Sapienza University of Rome. He began his career before finishing his university studies through a collaboration in the office Mansilla + Tuñón architects. This 5 year successful collaboration closed in 1997, when he met Juan Navarro Baldeweg. Under his tutelage he took on the responsibilities of project team leader of national and international works. Since 1999, Fernando Pino and Manuel G. Paredes began to work together and finally they run their own office Paredes Pino since 2001. First prizes in national and international public open competitions have marked his career in the last years. The proposition of underlying readings, the deployment of parallel universes, the interest in construction and project coherence as a single line of thought without discontinuity, are some of the themes they’re working on. Recently their interests and work have been collected in the monograph Excepto 24 “Light machinery”, in the collection dedicated to the architecture made of Madrid.
