Biography
He studies Law, Business and Economics in the Carlos III (Madrid) University and in the Loughborough University (UK), with and Erasmus scholarship, completing his last Degree in 2005. During his studies, he collaborates with the faculty and completes and internship in the Spanish National Energy Commission, obtaining afterwards a LLM at Instituto de Empresa Law School (entirely financed by a scholarship granted by Ernst & Young) being first of his promotion (Extraordinary Award No 1). Jorge Masía joined the department of Corporate at DLA Piper in February 2007. Previously he had worked for Ernst & Young Lawyers and the National Commission of Energy. He has experience in Corporate and Competition Law and Corporate litigation. In July 2006, he won the GARRIGUES 2006′ Award for Young Lawyers and a year later he was awarded a scholarship from Rafael del Pino Foundation to study a LLM program at Northwestern University (Chicago). In June 2009 he received the Award forExcellence in Professional Development from the University Carlos III and Santander Bank. Currently, he is also professor of Law at the University Carlos III, where he also teaches in the Masters of Intellectual Property and Finance (English) and professor at IE University.
