Biography
Juan Espinosa holds a LL.M. from the University of Granada (ES) and has obtained two Masters Degrees: one in European and international Politics from the University of Edinburgh (GB, 2000), and one in Economics for Competition Law from University of London King´s College (GB, 2008). A member of the Superior Stream of the Spanish Civil Service from 2004, he currently serves as Deputy Director for Gambling Regulation at the Spanish Gambling Regulator within the Ministry of Finance and Public Administration. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of SEGITTUR, a public PLC aimed at innovation of touristic technologies. Prior to his current appointment he served as an antitrust expert at the Spanish Competition Commission, where he was Deputy Director for the Unit in charge of the oversight of public bodies and before a Head of Area in Mergers at the Former Competition Court. As an academic he has been preparing candidates for Spanish Administration´s competitions to superior ranks and participated in numerous conferences, workshops and courses related to his fields of activity.
