Biography
Kamal Romero got his B.A in Economics from Universidad Central de Venezuela and he is currently working in his Ph.D. thesis at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He conducts research in the field of dynamic equilibrium macroeconomic models with incomplete markets, where he explores the macroeconomic consequences of economic policy on public debt sustainability and financial markets. He currently teaches courses on Mathematics, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. Before joining IE University he taught at Colegio Universitario Cardenal Cisneros, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad Europea de Madrid and Universidad Central de Venezuela. He also holds other professional responsibilities along with his teaching and research. He has worked as an advisor for the Finance Ministry of Venezuela, as an invited researcher for the Central Bank of Venezuela, as a fixed income and macroeconomics analyst in Santander Investment and as a market risk analyst at Banco Mercantil in Venezuela.
