Biography
PhD in Strategic Management, University of Southern California, USA; MBA, IE Business School, Spain; BSc. in Telecommunication Engineering, University of Zaragoza, Spain Professor Diestre’s research interests flow around two distinct themes. The first is at the interface of corporate strategy and environmental management. More specifically, his research explores how a firm’s ability to comply with environmental regulation has an impact on its diversification strategy. His second stream of research is in the domain of new technology-based organizations and R&D alliances. He is particularly interested in exploring how the risks of knowledge appropriation shape new ventures’ selection of R&D partners. His work appears in publications such as the Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, and Journal of Management Studies. He is a member of the Editorial Review Board of the Academy of Management Journal and the Strategic Management Journal.
