Biography
Monica is a professor in the Architectural Design Department at ETSAV since 2002. She has been an associate professor at the Boston Architectural Center BAC (2002), an assistant professor at the Graduated School of Design, Harvard University (2001-2002), an invited professor and design critic at IE University since 2013, L´École d´Architecture de Paris-La Villette (2010-2011) and the Vienna University of Technology (2011). Between 1997 and 2000 she collaborated with different architecture studios in Paris: Ateliers 234, Olivier Chaslin Architecte, Architectures Jean Nouvel. In 2003 she co-founded Garcia-Floquet arquitectos, whose projects have received awards in various national and international competitions. Their work about collective housing was selected for the 10th Spanish Architecture and Urbanism Biennial, X BEAU, and was a finalist for the 11th BEAU.
