Biography
American journalist Pamela Rolfe graduated from the University of Florida and moved to Spain to pursue a career as a print journalist. Since 1994, she has lived in Madrid, writing for various U.S. and British media, including The Washington Post, the Associated Press, Reuters and The Hollywood Reporter, among others. As a foreign correspondent, she writes about Spanish politics, economy, companies, culture and lifestyle. Her interests lie largely in going beyond the immediate spot news story to provide the context a distant reader needs to understand a specific current event. She spent two years as a recurring pundit for Spanish national television channel Telecinco’s news analysis program “La Mirada Critica.” Professor Rolfe regularly participates in panel discussions and conferences on subjects such as journalism in the digital age, foreign correspondents in Spain and the needs of a trade journalist.
