Biography
Professor Roberto Molinos graduated with honors from Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (ES) and holds a M.Sc. in Structural Design from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ES). Previously he conducted undergraduate research with Rafael Escolá Foundation and POLE Europe programs, developing essays on applied use of information technologies in multidisciplinary projects. Before joining IE University, Roberto was an associate professor of descriptive geometry at Escuela Tecnica Superior de Arquitectura Barcelona. He has collaborated with large engineering and architecture firms like ACXT-IDOM and SENER. Currently, he combines part time teaching at IE University with his work at Osome, an advanced geometry and BIM consultancy established by himself. Roberto is also one of the promoters of Algomad, a workshop that seeks to spread the use of computational tools in architectural design. Roberto’s main interests turn around the potential of computers in the design process, not only on its representation, where it allows to incorporate a huge amount of data and points of view to it.
