Biography
Romina Canna received her Bachelor in Architecture from the Universidad Nacional de Rosario (1999) and is a Doctoral Candidate for the PhD in Urbanism, at Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona. She has worked in Argentina, in Chicago and Barcelona developing a wide range of projects at several scales. From 2008 to 2010 she was the co-president of the Chicago Architectural Club investigating the current state of the discipline through conferences, exhibitions and international competitions. In the academic field she has taught at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario and the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago, collaborated in the ETSAB in Barcelona. Her field of practice and research focuses on the relationship between infrastructure, urbanism and architecture and the (critical) state of the discipline. She has been an Associate Professor at IE Universidad since 2012 where she combines her academic career with research and professional work.
