Biography
Solon Moreira is assistant professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship of IESE Business School. He has received a Ph.D. in Technological Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Strategy from Copenhagen Business School (Denmark). Before starting his academic career, he was co-founder and manager of a trading company in Brazil. Solon' research focuses on the link between innovation and firm performance, trying to unravel the sources of persistent cross-firm heterogeneity in terms of capacity to innovate and generate ideas. In particular, he studies technology commercialization, appropriability strategies and mechanisms that enable or constrain external knowledge assimilation. Solon has been involved in research collaborations with multinationals including Royal Dutch Shell and Novo Nordisk A/S.
