Biography
Weiming Zhu obtained his Ph.D. in Operations Management from the University of Maryland. Prior to joining the University of Maryland, he obtained his bachelor's degree in Physics from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Weiming's current research theoretically and empirically explores financing schemes in supply chains. He also studies the impact of government regulation on ride-sharing platforms and the role of retail distribution methods on channel development. He has won multiple awards, including first prize in the POMS SC College 2016 Student Paper Competition. His work is currently under review at Management Science.
