Biography
Pedro Fontana, 63 years old, is an MBA graduate from Harvard. He began his career in the banking sector. He was Chairman of Banca Catalana from 1994 to 1999, and CEO Catalonia for Banco Bilbao Vizcaya until 2009. Pedro Fontana then joined Áreas in 1998, first as a board member and then as Vice-Chairman from 2001. In 2012, he was appointed as Executive Chairman of Áreas. Pedro Fontana is a member of the executive committee of the Group and reports directly to Philippe Salle, Group Chairman & CEO. His central mission is to develop a global vision of the Group’s concession business worldwide that will establish it as the market leader through an ambitious international business development programme.
