Biography

Senior Lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology and Public International Law of the University of Barcelona. Her main teaching and research areas are international law, international human rights law and international criminal law. Her main field of expertise is transitional justice and fight against impunity. She has been visiting professor at the University of Puerto Rico and visiting researcher at the University of Uppsala and at the Research Centre in Latin-American Criminal and Procedural Law (Forschungsstelle für lateinamerikanisches Straf- und Strafprozessrecht) of the University of Göttingen. She has collaborated with the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda in training Rwandan lawyers on universal jurisdiction and with international research teams and networks in the field of transitional justice. Member of the consolidated research group on Public International Law at the University of Barcelona, of the Business, Human Rights and the Environment Research Group (University of Greenwich), of the Multidisciplinar Research Network "Perspectiva Epistemológica Ibero-Americana sobre la Justicia", of the Scientific Committee of the Children's Enforced Disappearances Observatory (Universitat Rovira i Virgili) of the Network of Experts on Transitional Justice (Institute Pedro Arrupe-University of Deusto/FRIDE/ICTJ) -2007-2011-, and of the Board of Trustees of the United Nations Association of Spain.
