Biography
Manuel Gutiérrez received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in 2008 from the Autonomous University of Barcelona for a thesis devoted to the application of potentiometric electronic tongues in agricultural, environmental and clinical monitoring. Since 2008 he has been working at the Chemical Transducers Group in the Institute of Microelectronics of Barcelona, where he got a “Juan de la Cierva†scholarship in 2010. He has continued there the research lines of sensor arrays and electronic tongues. Others interests of his work are the design and development of nanocomposites for sensing applications.
