Crop diseases caused by soil fungi: Fusarium spp. and Verticillium spp. Analysis of genetic diversity in pathogen populations. Development of molecular diagnostic methods for the detection of the pathogen in plant and soil Carnation Fusarium ( Fusarium oxysporum f. Sp. Dianthi ). Analysis of genetic elements associated to virulence: plasmids and mycovirus. Mycovirus as possible biological control agents.
