Biography
Professor at the "University Master's Degree in Olive, Olive Oil and Health" at the University of Jaén
Research Interest
Biotechnology and agricultural microbiology and development of biological control tools for use in integrated disease management strategies, using Verticilosis olivo as a study system. The specific fields of research are: 1) Identification and characterization of biological control agents; 2) Study of the molecular and genetic basis of tripartite plant-pathogen interactions-biocontrol agents; 3) Beneficial bacterial endophytes; 4) Genetic and molecular diversity of rhizosphere microorganisms; 5) Qualitative and quantitative methods for the molecular detection of soil microorganisms.
