Research Interest
Research done includes: Precision Agriculture: study of spatio-temporal variability of weeds in extensive crops. Geostatistical techniques of spatial analysis (semivariograms and krigeados) to determine the spatio-temporal distribution of weeds and design of maps of localized treatments of herbicides Agricultural Remote Sensing: classification and identification of weed stands in extensive crops using aerial imagery, high spatial resolution satellite and unmanned aerial vehicles. Techniques based on pixels and object segmentation. Optimization of infestation maps for large areas of land using pixel and object-based image analysis techniques. Design of maps of localized treatments through delineation of management zones. Malherbology: integrated control of weeds in herbaceous and woody crops. Optimization of the use of agrochemicals.
