Biography
I am Dr. Agronomist Engineer at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. My current position is Full Scientist of the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA) and I am part of the group of Processes of Food Conservation and Risk Analysis. I am a member of the Spanish Food Safety Network (SICURA), the Institute of Food Technologies (IFT) and the Scientific Network for Harmonization of Risk Assessment Methodologies (EFSA).
Research Interest
Most of my professional career has been devoted to the study of the effect of different conservation technologies on microbiological safety and food quality. I joined a group with a great experience in the conservation by heat of foods, that at that moment was drifting towards the application of alternative technologies to the traditional thermal ones.
