Biography

I am the author of 120 articles in international JCR publications in the field of Instituto de Carboquímica chemical engineering and energy, 117 of which are in the first quartile of your area. It is worth noting the participation in a review work on CLC published in one of the most prestigious journals in the area of ​​energy (Progress in Energy and Combustion Science). In addition, I have participated in the elaboration of four chapters of books related to CO2 capture. I recently received the "Highly Cited Researcher "of Thomson Reuters recognizing the presence among the most cited in the engineering area (http://highlycited.com/). I am co-author of 3 patents related to the development of solid oxygen transporters, I have conducted 3 theses doctoral studies plus 1 currently underway, and I have participated in more than 50 congresses National and international. I present an index h of 40 (Scopus, April 2016).

Research Interest

The research tasks that I have carried out are framed within the area of ​​Engineering and Chemical Technology, always in research-oriented lines of research and development of advanced non-polluting processes for power generation. In concrete, I have analyzed the process of elimination of sulfur compounds with sorbents Calcium to obtain a clean gas in Integrated Gasification with Cycle Combined. I have also been involved in biomass combustion research in circulating fluidized beds. At the moment, my research is directed mainly towards the study of new combustion systems without CO2 emissions. In this aspect, work on the development of CO2 capture technology in combustion with oxygen transporters (CLC).
