Biography
Monika Hamori’s research focuses on career paths and career success. Her work was published in Organization Science, the Academy of Management Annals, the Academy of Management Perspectives, Human Resource Management and the Industrial and Labor Relations Review, among others.
Research Interest
Her research interests include the educational background and career histories of top executives between 1980 and 2012; the impact of executive search firms on top executive careers; corporate retention strategies for young-high potentials; the impact of various types of CEO career paths on CEOs’ performance. These topics have great relevance to practitioners as well. As a result, her research was published in the Harvard Business Review several times, and also in the MIT Sloan Management Review. It was featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, The London Times and the Economist, among others.
