Research Interest
In June of 1995 I obtained the title of Bachelor in Physical Sciences by the University of Salamanca. Between September 1995 and June 1997, I carried out Third Cycle studies in the program "Nuclear and Particle Physics" of the Department of Physics, Engineering and Medical Radiology. Between September 1997 and September 2002 I developed my Doctoral Thesis "Time and subject: new perspectives on the experience of time", in the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Philosophy of Science of this university, under the direction of Professor Sebastián Álvarez Toledo, who I defended in February 2003. I then began to publish the results of this work in several magazines and monographs. Also interested in the thematic crossing between disability and technology, Since my incorporation to the Institute of Philosophy of the CSIC in January 2007, my research activity has been developing at the intersection between science, technology and society (CTS) studies and Disability Studies , as a framework for new studies on science, technology and diversity. Subjects of interest to me at this intersection are studies on functional diversity, the study of disability within Amartya Sen's capabilities and functioning approach, functioning ecosystems, accessibility and the design of inclusive environments as practices of social innovation and citizen.
