Biography
Current Position: Enrique Tortajada Esparza (08/08/1952), Tenured Scientist (Científico Titular) at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC), working at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV), a joint Institute of the CSIC and the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV). Training and Research Experience: Agricultural engineer from the UPV (1977). He was a CSIC pre-doctorate scholarship/grant holder (1979-82) and PhD in Agricultural Economics from the UPV (1982). He was professor of Financial Analysis and Industrial Organization in the Faculty of Managerial Sciences, University of Extremadura, Badajoz, Spain (1983-1988) where he also held successively the academic positions of Vice dean and Director of the Finance and Accounting Department. Once he arrived at the CSIC (1988), he worked on issues of agricultural economics at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology, Paterna, Valencia, Spain, before he was coming to INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) (1999).
