Ignacio Fernández De Lucio

Biography

 Ignacio Fernández de Lucio  is Research Professor at the Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC). From 1999, Director of the Institute for Innovation and Knowledge Management (INGENIO), joint Institute of the Spanish Council for Scientific Research and the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Agricultural Engineer specialized in Agricultural Sociology and Economy, from the Polytechnic University of Madrid in 1966. Visiting Scholar at the Department of Compared Agriculture of the Institut National de la Recherche Agronomique (INRA) (París), 1971-1973. PhD in Agricultural Sociology and Economy, from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, 1977. Tenured Scientist of the Spanish CSIC, 1975-1985, and Scientific Researcher from 1986 until present. Professor of “Operative Investigation” in the Polytechnic University of Valencia (1973-1975) Professor of Innovation Management and Innovation Systems in the Doctorate degree courses “Innovation Systems and its application on the territory and organization policies design” (Polytechnic University of Valencia, 2000-current) and professor in masters related to the management of science and technology in universities such as Universidad Carlos III, Universidad de Santiago de Compostela and the International University Menéndez Pelayo. Responsible of the design and implementation of workshops and seminars, in Europe and Latin-America, related to the analysis and management of science and technology, and the analysis and conceptualization of the National and Regional Innovation Systems. He is member of the Editorial Board of the Scientifics Journals Dirección, Organización y Administración de Empresas and Espacios.
