Biography
Marina Peña-Gallardo is a PhD student under supervision of Sergio Martín Vicente Serrano and Santiago Beguería Portugués at the Pyrenean Institute of Ecology (IPE-CSIC). During her Degree and Master's Thesis she worked with drought indices, analysing the severity and length of drought periods in Andalusia (south of Spain)
Research Interest
Nowadays her research interest is focused on the development of sectorial drought indices on the Iberian Peninsula, being the main objective of her work to improve the predictability of the occurrence and impacts of severe drought events in different sectors.
