Biography
Sediment and water yield associated to land uses/vegetation covers are the main objective of the research activity. This is studied through different experimental catchments in the Pyrenees, equipped with gauging stations and specific devices for recording hydrological and sedimentological data.
Research Interest
Most specific objectives, topics and research activity are: i) The geomorphology dynamics of mountain humid badland areas (physical weathering, erosion and sediment transport) in the Spanish Pyrenees. ii) The application of experimental techniques like rainfall simulation and infiltration experiences for studying erosion and hydrological processes. iii) The analyses of stream sediment transport (bed load, suspended sediment and dissolution). iv) The study of soil water table and soil moisture. v) The study of interceptation and transcolation processes associated to forest and shrubs covers. vi) The application of filed data for the validation and calibration of hydrological and sedimentological models.
