Biography
My background as a biologist began in the field of genetics where I have worked in areas such as gene silencing in RNA-mediated interferences or the study of the genetic variability of the species Silene acaulis and Arabis alpina in the European mountains.
Research Interest
But my scientific motivation covers everything related to mountain vegetation. At present I am very interested in other biological disciplines such as botany, ecology, conservation or evolution. The integration of all these areas of knowledge, including genetics, is the key to deepening the knowledge of natural systems. During this period I focus on obtaining detailed follow-up of the species of flora and habitat of community interest in Aragon, which is the subject of the LIFE project. Work choosing the populations of monitoring and elaborating and standardizing the protocols of sampling for each species. I am also responsible for coordinating the volunteer network, training them and assisting them in the field.
