Biography
As a leader in scientific innovation at the Janssen Human Microbiology Institute (JHMI), Anuk is responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships with numerous collaborators and shareholders working closely with Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centers to consolidate leadership position in the industry in terms of the proportion of health solutions in the microbiome. Anuk joined Johnson & Johnson's Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies in 2001 and has since catalyzed the evaluation of emerging research areas with promising scientific potential for the Therapeutic Area (TA) of immunology. Following a successful trajectory of the program and functional leadership covering various areas of disease and focusing on the discovery and development of possible new drugs, Anuk was in charge of directing the external research area. In his post, he provided new areas of scientific research that shaped Disease Area (DAS) strategies to intercept and prevent disease. His work helped to consolidate a global network of external partners in the academic and biotechnology field for the Therapeutic Area of Immunology and also promoted investments in emerging areas of interest, including various ongoing projects that focus on the microbiome. Most recently, Anuk served as senior director of Integrative Disease Biology (DIB) and introduced the Immunological Sciences Exploratory Laboratory (I-ExSL) and the Postdoctoral Immunology Program. As founder of these groups, Anuk developed productive scientific functions that influenced the knowledge about human diseases and the platform of pharmacological diseases in network in order to establish new paradigms to identify and validate novel therapeutic mechanisms. including various ongoing projects that focus on the microbiome.
