Biography
Sergio Martinez is an engineer in computer systems and Electronics at University of Barcelona. He started his professional career at the Electronics Department, where he specialised in the development of embedded systems and wireless communications sector. This activity was combined with his Master’s studies in electronics engineering, focusing on instrumentation and communication systems. Nowadays he is developing his career at the Smart Systems department, at LEITAT Technological Center. He contributes to providing solutions based on embedded software development with wired (CAN) or wireless (Zigbee, 6LoWPAN, Bluetooth Low Energy), communications for a short or middle range. Most of his activities are developed in the framework of European projects.
