Senior Research Scientist at the Materials Science Institute of Madrid (ICMM-CSIC) of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). Ph. D. in Physics from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). Stays at University of Hamburg, IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in New York and Max-Planck Institute for Solid State Research in Stuttgart. Optical properties of materials, Raman spectroscopy, photonic devices, coatings, biological materials, ion irradiation effects. 128 papers and a few books.
