Biography
He graduated in Pharmacy from the University of Navarra, also obtaining a degree in Law; he also obtained an MBA from IESE (Barcelona) in 1971, and an MSc from Harvard Business School in 1978. He was manager of Antibióticos, S.A. in the USA from 1979 to 1984, and General Manager in Spain from 1984 to 1987.Since 1987, he has been Chairman of Pérez Orive & Asociados, a company specialised in mergers and acquisitions. He has been a director of over thirty companies and given over 100 keynote lectures to major institutions. He was a member of the Board of Directors of Zeltia from June 1990 onwards. JEFPO, S.L. is also Vice-Chair of Xylazel, S.A. and a director of Zelnova, S.A., both of which are owned by PharmaMar. Mr. Pérez-Orive is currently a director of PharmaMar and Genómica, S.A., both companies belong to Pharma Mar Group.
