Biography
Hampel obtained his MD at the University of Munich, Germany. He also holds an MSc from Cologne University, Germany and an MA from Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland. Harald Hampel is a world authority on Alzheimer’s disease and related neurodegenerative diseases. He is Professor and AXA Research Fund and UPMC Chair at the Sorbonne Universities, Pierre and Marie Curie University (UPMC) in Paris, France. He is Scientific Director of the Institute for Memory and Alzheimer’s disease (IM2A) and affiliated to the Brain and Spine Institute (ICM), the Department of Neurology at the Pitié-Salpétrière University Hospital.
