Biography
Degree (1976) and Doctor (1981) from the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Barcelona. Professor Titular (1982) and Professor (2003) of the same. Currently a member of the Department of Probability, Logic and Statistics. Dean of the Faculty (1987-1990). Member of the Catalan Society of Mathematics and other international scientific societies. Editor of Theoria magazines, Studia Logica, Reports on Mathematical Logic. He has directed 5 doctoral theses and has published 70 articles and 1 book on his specialty. Together with Ramon Jansana and other researchers from around the world, he has contributed to the development of Abstract Algebraic Logic, a specific branch of Mathematical Logic, collected in the Mathematics Subject Classification 2010 code 03G27.
