Biography
Prof. Raimon Jané received his PhD from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1989, after which he became a visiting researcher at the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France). Since 1994, he has been co-director of the Biomedical Signal and System Group of the Biomedical Engineering Research Center (CREB) at the UPC and coordinator of the PhD Programme on Biomedical Engineering. He is professor of the UPC-UB's Master in Bioengineering and vice-president of the Spanish Society of Biomedical Engineering. He received the Barcelona City Award in Technology Research in 2005, and since 2010 has been a member of the International Advisory Board for the journal Physiological Measurement.
