Biography
"Adriano Pastore was born in Munich, Germany. He received a Diplôme de l’École Centrale Paris (ECP) in 2006 as well as a Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering in 2009 under the supervision of Dr. Michael Joham from the Associate Institute for Signal Processing Methods headed by Prof. Wolfgang Utschick at the Technische Universität München (TUM). From 2009 to 2014, he has been working as a research assistant and obtained his PhD from the Department of Signal Theory and Communications at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya under the supervision of Javier Rodríguez Fonollosa. He took part in the Consolider COMONSENS project as well as the FREEDOM project funded by the European Commission. He was appointed as teaching assistant for the Information Theory class in the MINT Master program. From 2014 to 2016 he has been a postdoctoral researcher at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in the Laboratory for Information in Networked Systems (LINX) headed by Prof. Michael Gastpar. His topics of interest lie mainly in the field of information theory and wireless communications, channel coding, channel state estimation, physical-layer network coding and privacy-utility tradeoffs."
