Biography
"Ahmed Omar Shahidullah received his B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from American International University – Bangladesh (AIUB) in 2008. In 2013, he received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Master’s Program in Wireless Network and Electronics (WNE) in Linköping University (LiU), Sweden. During the Master’s programme, Ahmed completed his thesis titled “Analytical Analysis of LTE/LTE-Advanced DRX using a Novel 4-State Model” which was on power saving algorithms in the LTE systems. He extended his thesis research to publish a journal in Computer Networks, Elsevier with the title “Analytical Evaluation of Extended DRX with additional active cycles for light traffic”. (doi>10.1016/j.comnet.2014.11.020) Apart from academics, Ahmed worked as a Cisco Networking Academy Program (CNAP) Instructor in the Continuing Education Center division of AIUB from 2008 to 2010 and also as an Assistant Engineer in Summit Communication Limited from 2014 to 2015. In June 2016, Ahmed joined joined Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC) as a Research Assistant in Communication Networks Division. His research interest includes future communication networks (SDN/NFV), energy efficiency in mobile networks, 4G/5G communication."
