Biography
Alba Ruiz graduated in Human Biology at the Pompeu Fabra University of Barcelona in 2008. Then he took a Masters in Tropical Infectious Diseases at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2009) and a Master's Degree in International Health at the University of Barcelona ( 2010). In September 2011, he reached IrsiCaixa as a doctoral student in the group of Dr. José Esté. Since December 2014 he has been a postdoctoral researcher in the group of Dr. Julia García Prado, where he focuses on eradication strategies and investigates the recognition and antiviral response of CD8 + T cells against latent infected cells by HIV -1.
