Biography
Doctor in Sociology and currently Deputy Director of the CED, where he has been a researcher since 1984. He is an associate professor of the Department of Geography of the UAB, director of the Demographics and Migration Studies Group -GEDEM and principal researcher of the RecerCaixa Assentment of the Immigration population, demographic change and management of interculturality and the project subsidized by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness From complementarity to exclusion? Sociodemographic analysis of the impact of the economic crisis on the immigrant population. He has held stays at the University of Luján (Argentina) and Edinburgh (United Kingdom). His main research interests are: international immigration, foreign population, family and demographic theory and literary discourse.
