Biography
"Daniel Mateo Corredor is a doctor in History with the thesis ""The trade in Hispania Ulterior during the II centuries a. C. and II d. C. Traffic anfórico and mercantile relations "", directed by professor Jaime Molina Vidal (University of Alicante). His main line of research focuses on the study of economics and trade in Roman times, having as a fundamental element the information provided by the analysis of the amphitheater. He has authored several publications on this field, as well as several works on the methodology of amphicular quantification applied to commercial analysis. He is a member of the research group ""Ancient Cultures and Material Culture"" of the University of Alicante. His work at the ICAC as an attached researcher is part of the team ""Alimentació, economia i comerç al món antic (Aecma)"". In this line, its active participation in the two phases of the R + D + i project Amphorae ex Hispania (amphorae.icac.cat) stands out. Within his dedication to the study of antiquity, he has also been part, among others, of the study and analysis of the Villa de Rufio (Perugia, Italy), the Eastern Baths of La Alcudia (Elche, Alicante) and the oriental necropolis of Baelo Claudia (Tarifa, Cádiz). He also collaborates with the Portuslimen project (ERC-Grant) directed by Professor Simon Keay (University of Southampton). He has enjoyed several stays of predoctoral and postdoctoral research in research centers in Italy (Università degli Studi di Perugia) and England (University of Southampton). At present, he carries out his research work at the University of Alicante and the University of Southampton, thanks to a postdoctoral contract (APOSTD)."
