David Camuña Pardo

Biography

"Since 2015, David Camuña Pardo is a Predoctoral Researcher attached to the Catalan Institute of Classical Archeology, within the Research Team of Protohistoric Archeology, with which he collaborates in various research projects. That same year his incorporation to the SGR (consolidated research group) of the ICAC was accepted. In 2012 he obtained the Degree in History, with a mention in Prehistory, Archeology and History until the First Millennium, at the Rovira i Virgili University. During these years, he began to be interested in archeology, participating in several research projects financed by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and directed and / or co-directed by researchers from the Rovira University Virgili and the Catalan Institute of Classical Archeology. Between the years 2012 and 2014 he took the Official Master's Degree in Classical Archeology, taught by the Catalan Institute of Classical Archeology, the Rovira i Virgili University and the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​during which he began to collaborate with The Research Team of Protohistorical Archeology of the ICAC, thanks to the granting of a scholarship for advanced training in the field of classical archeology, granted by the Institute itself. His Master's Final Project was a study on the functionality and symbology of Iberian ciders in Cessetània between the 3rd and 1st centuries BC, from which several publications have been derived, as well as participation in congresses and seminars. At the moment, while collaborating in the different projects of the Research Team of Protohistorical Archeology of the ICAC, he is beginning to prepare his doctoral thesis, which will deal with commercial relations between Catalonia from the 3rd century BC to 1st century AD and the rest of the western Mediterranean"
