Associate Professor of Classical Archeology at the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona, he is a member of the Interuniversity Group of Research in Classical Archeology MIRMED (AGAUR 2014 SGR 1197) and the Research Group "Ancient Surveying Seminar" (URV). Its main lines of research focus on the typological analysis of architecture, the formal study of the ancient city and the symbolic interpretation of decorative programs. Historically, it has developed a sustained field archaeological activity that has led to scientific contributions related to structures of the Roman and late Roman period of the Iberian Peninsula, Italy and Greco-Roman Egypt. Among his most outstanding works, mention must be made of the search for the Egyptian city during the classical era, which gave rise to an international workshop on the subject. Currently, it is the IP of the research team that is responsible for the study of the site of the Visigothic period of Puig Rom (Roses, Alt Empordà). It is a four-year project funded by competitive competition from the Generalitat de Catalunya, which continues the line of studies on the Roman and late Roman city on the Iberian Peninsula, a line in which we can also include including research on the Site of the Colonia Clunia Sulpicia (Burgos).
