Biography
Joana Maria Pujadas-Mora received her PhD degree in 2009 from the Universitat de les Illes Balears and the Spanish National Research Council. Currently she is researcher at the Department of Geography of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and coordinator of the Advanced Grant Project Five Centuries of Marriages lead by Professor Anna Cabré and funded by the European Research Council. In addition, the last 2 years she has been the principal investigator of a national I+D+I project. She wrote/co-authored 35 different publications (national and international contributions). She supervises 5 doctoral theses. The main topics of her research are the study of mortality, migrations and marriage during the Ancien Régime and the Demographic Transition as well as the construction of nominative databases, the processes of their standardization and posterior record linkage.
