Biography
Jordi Bayona Carrasco is a researcher at CED and associate professor at the Department of Geography of the University of Barcelona. He holds a degree in Geography from the University of Barcelona (UB 1998), Certificate in Methods and Techniques for the Study of Population (CED, 1998) and a PhD in Demography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB, 2006) with a Thesis on the patterns of settlement of foreign immigration in the city of Barcelona. His lines of research focus on the study of international migration and demographic analysis of the population of foreign nationality, with special attention to patterns of residential segregation and concentration, and residential mobility of the population.
