Biography
Josep Maria Carbonell is a Civil Engineer (Engineer of Paths, Channels and Ports) from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia since 2004. He got the Ph.D. degree in Computational Mechanics in 2009. At that time he began to give classes of Continuum Mechanics as Assistant Lecturer at the EUETIB (University School of Industrial Technical Engineering of Barcelona). He has research in the field of Solid and Fluid Mechanics, in the field of Contact Mechanics, and in the development of Particle Finite Element Method. He is the developer of the SolidMechanicsApplication and also of the PfemSolidMechanicsApplication, both included in the Kratos Multiphysics frame.
