Biography
"In 2003 he graduated in History with the specialty in Archeology at the University of Barcelona. In November 2009, he obtained a Ph.D. in Prehistoric Archeology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona with the excellent qualification awarded cum unanimously with the doctoral thesis ""Animal management in the northeast of the Iberian peninsula between the 5th and 5th centuries ane-v dne. Methodological proposal for the integration of archaeo-zoological analyzes to historical chronology studies "". The thesis was directed by Dr. Maria Saña and published in BAR International Series 2480. During the years of accomplishment of the thesis, he completed his training with several stays abroad (University of Sheffield, UK and University of Basel, Switzerland). Between the years 2008 and 2011 he was hired as a specialist in the Arqueozoology Laboratory of the Department of Prehistory of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​participating in several research projects. His research focuses on the study of the interactions between animals and societies of the first millennium and the change of age in the Western Mediterranean from an archaeo-logical approach. More specifically, he has developed his research in the study of food, livestock and the ritual practices of these societies of the past. At the methodological level, the paleogenetic analysis has been integrated into its research, applying this technique to the study of animal movements and their phenotypic characterization. Currently, and as a member of GIAP, he is carrying out a project focusing on the study of livestock farming in mountain areas in order to evaluate the interactions between domestic animals and the human groups that explored these spaces and how these interactions They transformed these altimontan landscapes."
