Biography
"Miguel Ángel Vázquez obtained his Telecommunication Engineering degree from the TelecomBCN – Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) , his master degree in research on wireless communication (MERIT) in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He has completed his Ph.D. in telecommunications in 2014 from UPC, leading to a Ph.D. thesis title ‘Beamforming and Power Control in Spectrum Sharing Systems’. In parallel to his Ph.D. studies, he worked as a research engineer at CTTC from January 2010. He was granted a Marie Curie fellowship in the context of an FP7 European project (SWAP). Moreover, he participated in different EU-funded projects (FP7, ARTEMISA, CELTIC, H2020) on the topics of the internet of things and smart grid; and, other industrial contracts with local companies and the European Space Agency. He co-organized the ASMS-SPSC 2016 and IEEE SPNGS 2016. His research interests include signal processing for communications and satellite communications."
