Biography
"Moisés Díaz is a doctor in History and History of Art from the Rovira i Virgili University of Tarragona (2012) with a thesis directed by Dr. Joaquín Ruiz de Arbulo about the late-public ceramic contexts of Tarraco. He was initially linked to the Archaeological Service of the Rovira i Virgili University, where he carried out tasks related to urgent intervention, such as drawing and archeology technician (1996-1998). Later, he became part of the technical staff of the Codex-Archeology and Heritage company, in which he currently develops his work, directing and coordinating preventive and planned archaeological interventions, coordinating research work for institutions, such as the Map of Cultural Resources (M @ RC) of the Diputació de Tarragona, and carrying out scientific publications in the form of articles, He has also collaborated with institutions such as the ICAC, both in archaeological interventions and in publications, highlighting the publication on the public terms of Tàrraco on Carrer de Sant Miquel, coordinated by Dr. Josep Maria Macias. Other collaborations to highlight are those carried out with the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Palestrina (province of Rome), in the team formed by Dr. Filippo Demma (Università degli Studi di Roma ""la Sapienza""), the archaeologist Lluís Piñol (Museum of History of Tarragona / Universitat Rovira i Virgili), and Moisés Díaz himself, in the framework of the study of the tableware of the Republican period in the city of Praeneste, paying special attention to local productions with nominal varnish labels black He is the author of several publications on the central theme of his thesis: the study of commerce and consumption through the ceramic material of the late-republican era in Tarraco. He has also published publications about the urban development of the city, as well as on the most recent findings in various monuments in the provincial capital, or in sites such as the villas in his territory, which are extended to the protohistoric period, having studied part of the oppidum that formerly occupied the lower part of Tarraco, as well as other deposits of the Cessetània as the town of Manous.Other outstanding publications have focused on the study of deposits in the territory of Tarraco, such as those relating to the villas of Cal·lípolis, in La Pineda (Vila-seca), together with Josep Maria Macias, or in the villa de la Burguera (Salou), in the team formed by doctors Josep Maria Macias and Francesc Bosch. Other monuments and sites of different historical periods have also been treated, such as the studies published on the castle of Solivella (Conca de Barberà), together with the archaeologist Joan Menchon, or the medieval building of the Castlania de Cambrils. He recently finished conducting several interventions at the place of representation of the Concilium Provinciae Hispaniae Citerioris (beateri of Sant Domènec), and to the Roman circus of Tarraco in collaboration with the City Council of Tarragona, specifically in the north-east tier sector (carrer del Trinquet Vell) and to the Porta Triumphalis sector. Currently focuses on archaeological management work in the suburban area of ​​the port of Tarraco in the area of ​​the mouth of the Tulcis (Francolí river)."
