Biography
Montse SOLSONA PAIRÓ (Sabadell, 1955), Economist (UB, 1983), Demographer (CELADE, United Nations, Chile, 1986) and Dra. in Human Geography (UAB, 1991).Her lives at Walden 7 and works as a full professor at the Department of Geography of the Autonomous University (UAB) and as a researcher associated to the Center for Demographic Studies, for a long time.She has lectured in Brazil, Japan and Senegal; and research stays in London, Stockholm and Paris.Her topics of interest include new family forms, gender relations, sexual and reproductive rights, and the economy of the common good.Currently, his research on gender demography focuses on the geography of divorce and shared custody in Spain, where the intersection between the second demographic transition, the prevailing gender contracts and the different legislative frameworks contribute to creating unique systems of divorce and shared custody. genre.
