Biography
Musbah Shaat obtained his PhD degree on signal theory and communications from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) [1], Barcelona-Spain, in 2012. He received his master in degree in communication and electronics engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) [2] and an engineering degree major in communication and control from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the Islamic University of Gaza (IUG) [3] in 2007 and 2004 respectively. He is currently a senior researcher in the department of arrays and multi-sensors processing at the Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya (CTTC), Barcelona-Spain. He received the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) [4] master scholarship in 2005 and also awarded the CTTC PhD fellowship in 2007. He has participated in the European project PHYDYAS, COST Action IC902 and the network of excellence ACROPOLIS project and has participated in the H2020 projects SANSA and FANTASTIC-5G (PMT member and work-package leader). His main research interests include but limited to: multi-carrier wireless communications, cross layer optimization, cognitive radio systems, cooperative and green communications.
